There always seems to be something to celebrate! Destructive digestive and intestinal villains are lurking around every corner waiting to wreak havoc on our bodies. This “BOSS Tonic” is made up of a team of superheros ready to fearlessly defend the consequences of our spur of the moment “seemed like a good idea at the time” appetites.
MEET THE TEAM...
LEMON
Delivering laser bursts of calciyum, potassiyum, and magnesiyum. As well as being chock full of vitamins (C, B6, A, and E), this superhero cleanses your stomach, purifies your blood, and strengthens your immune system!
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Penetrating liquid lava used for it’s detoxification properties. It is a power house against candida! Candida is yeast and it’s blamed for creating symptoms such as fatigue, poor memory, sugar cravings, and yeast infections. An overgrowth of candida can also cause weight gain, intestinal pain, and rashes. This superhero can help break up mucus throughout the body and strip candida from our intestinal lining.
GINGER (the BOSS)
An earth shattering root with antioxidant properties and anti-inflammatory compounds called ginerols, that when consumed regularly, reduce pain and improve mobility. For those expecting mommas out there, it is very useful in reducing nausea and vomiting due to pregnancy, even in the most severe cases. While antivomiting drugs can cause severe birth defects, ginger is extremely safe and only a small dose is required. This superhero also helps promote healthy sweating. Sweat contains a protein called dermicidin and it is manufactured in the body’s sweat glands, providing protection against bacteria such as E. coli and staphylococcus aureus, as well as fungi, including candida albicans.

The Morning “BOSS Tonic” Recipe:
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup of lemon/ginger juice
1 mint leaf (if desired)
Lemon/Ginger juice:
In a small pot, combine 2 cups of water, a 1-inch piece of ginger
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup of lemon/ginger juice
1 mint leaf (if desired)
Lemon/Ginger juice:
In a small pot, combine 2 cups of water, a 1-inch piece of ginger
(diced),
and 1 lemon (washed, halved, and squeezed). And don’t be afraid to plop
that lemon rind in the pot for an added BOOM! BLAM! Bring to a boil,
remove from heat, then cover and steep for 5 minutes. Strain and
refrigerate.
At bedtime, pour a 1/2 cup of lemon/ginger juice in a glass, then add the apple cider vinegar (and a mint leaf if you want). Take your weapon to bed! I like to cover my glass so the invisible dust doesn’t settle in my cup overnight.
Drink (at room temperature) upon rising and SKADUSH! You have started your morning with BANG!
